Once you arrive at the LEED Gold-certified facility, you will find over 1.2 million square feet of versatile event space designed to accommodate anything from intimate gatherings to massive trade shows.

Facility Overview & Main Event Spaces

• Exhibit Halls: Features 350,000 square feet of contiguous exhibition space, perfect for massive trade shows.
• Atlantic Ballroom: At 65,136 square feet, this is the largest waterfront ballroom in the Southeast US, holding up to 7,159 guests.
• Grand Ballroom: A sprawling 31,872-square-foot space that holds up to 3,808 guests and can be divided into eight independent sections for breakouts.

Intimate & Mid-Sized Ballrooms

• Floridian Ballroom: Measures 20,316 square feet (hosting up to 2,400 guests) and features an expansive pre-function area that pulls in natural daylight via integrated skylights.
• Sandpiper Ballroom: A 14,979-square-foot ground-floor room that holds 1,163 guests and can be split into two smaller breakout rooms.
• Palm Ballroom: An intimate 9,527-square-foot room designed for social celebrations or corporate events of up to 1,120 attendees.
• Conference Suite: Equipped with modern furnishings, high technology, and Wi-Fi access for specialized meetings.

The Convention Center is the central hub for some of South Florida’s most highly anticipated annual gatherings, bringing in hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

Major Annual Events

• Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS): Held every fall, the Convention Center serves as the Transportation Hub for the largest in-water boat show in the world. Visitors can see new boat debuts, visit the Kids Corner, and take shuttles or water taxis to other show locations.
• Florida Supercon: A massive annual pop culture convention celebrating comic books, anime, animation, video games, fantasy, and sci-fi.
• Home Design & Remodeling Show: South Florida’s premier expo for home improvement, interior design, and real estate, bringing together top industry professionals.
• Cruise360: The official conference of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), welcoming travel agents and cruise industry leaders from around the globe.

Event Attendee Tips

• Arrive Early: For mega-events like FLIBS or Supercon, the parking garage fills up rapidly. Consider using ride-share apps or the Water Taxi.
• Cashless Venue: Remember to bring a credit card or Apple Pay, as parking and most concessions will not accept cash.
• Check Event Sites: Always refer directly to the specific event’s website for their official operating hours, registration details, and bag policies.

Security & Emergency Procedures

• Central Security: Building Security Staff maintains exclusive 24-hour security coverage for the perimeter, internal corridors, and life safety alarms.
• Emergency Contact: Contact Central Security at 954-765-5931 for any emergency or security assistance, available 24/7.
• First Aid/EMT: Medical assistance rooms are strategically located during active event hours; please consult building security or event maps for immediate directions.

Venue Rules & Policies

• Cashless Policy: As mentioned in arrival logistics, the facility is completely cashless. Only major credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.
• No Outside Food or Beverage: Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited from being brought inside the convention center.
• Strict Smoking Policy: There is absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed inside the building or within 25 feet of the building’s exterior. This includes cigars, cigarettes, pipes, vape pens, and vapor cigarettes.
